Hake roll on all sides in flour.
Fry the fish until golden brown on all sides in vegetable oil.
Finely chop the onion, grate the carrots and fry separately until soft.
Dissolve the tomato paste in water.
Place the hake in a pan with vegetables, transfer half of the vegetables on top of the fish, leave the rest under it, pour tomato paste with water. Season with salt and pepper to taste, cover and simmer over medium heat for about 15-20 minutes. If there is a lot of liquid just 5 minutes before ready, remove the lid and it will evaporate.
Serve the fish with the sauce.
Stewed hake with vegetables in tomato sauce is juicy, tender and tasty. The hake itself does not have bones except ribs and a ridge, so it’s a pleasure to cook this fish, you just need to remove the fins because they consist of stones. This dish is perfect for any side dish or just with bread.
