Peel the potatoes and grate them on a coarse grater.
Grate cheese also on a coarse grater, cut onions into small cubes. Mix with potatoes, and add sour cream, salt and pepper to taste.
Mix everything until smooth, put in a baking dish or pots greased with a little butter. The mass does not need to be compacted and smoothed; during baking, it will even out.
Bake at 180 degrees for about 30-40 minutes.
Potato Romanoff is a very delicate, creamy-flavored side dish that is perfect for vegetable salads and meat. Cooking such a potato is very simple and fairly quick, instead of sour cream, you can take mayonnaise and if you want to add a piquant dish, add a little garlic. Most importantly, follow the baking process, because everyone has different ovens, the crust should not burn.
