Cut the meat into medium slices and fry directly in a pan with a thick bottom in oil until golden brown. At the end of frying, add the onion sliced in half rings and fry until the onion is brown. Season the meat with salt and pepper to taste, pour boiling water and simmer over low heat after boiling for 1 hour.
Barley must first be soaked in cold water for about 2-4 hours, then rinse well. Pour barley to meat and cook over low heat under a lid until the cereal is ready. Add water as needed.
Serve the dish hot.
