Thaw the fish a little, but not completely, because it will break when sliced. Cut into pieces.

Cut the onion into rings and garlic into slices.

Stir the mackerel with all the spices, onions and garlic. Put the pickled mackerel in a jar and leave for a day to marinate in the refrigerator.
