Combine milk with water, simmer, add sugar and salt. When the milk begins to boil, add semolina. Cook porridge well by stirring so that there are no lumps. Cool.
Beat the egg and pour into the semolina. Stir until smooth. Make cakes and roll in breadcrumbs.
Fry mannikas in vegetable oil until golden brown for about 3 minutes on each side.
