Wash the chicken well and cut into pieces.
For marinade, mix soy sauce, garlic passed through a press, zest and juice from one mandarin, grated ginger, salt and pepper to taste, you can also add your favorite spices. Mix well.
Add the marinade to the meat, mix well and leave to marinate for 30 minutes.
Transfer the pickled meat into a baking dish covered with foil. Add mandarin slices and coarsely chopped onion to the meat.
