Put the corn grits in a full and rinse under running water.
Transfer the cereals into the pan and pour 2 cups of water. Add a pinch of salt if you serve sweet, and if you want not sweet porridge then you can put more salt. Cook under a lid over low heat until all the liquid has evaporated for about 20 minutes.
Then add a glass of hot water and cook for another 10 minutes. Then remove from heat, cover and let go for another 15 minutes. It is believed that the longer the porridge stays, the tastier it will be.
