Grate the chocolate on a coarse grater.
Cut the pepper in half and peel the seeds, cut the vanilla bean along.
Pour milk into a pan, add one half of pepper, vanilla and cinnamon to it. Bring to a hot state, but do not boil.
Then add the grated chocolate and simmer for 10 minutes.
When the chocolate has completely dissolved, remove the pepper, cinnamon and vanilla from the pan. Add sugar and cognac, mix and pour into cups.
