Finely chop the garlic and onion, fry until golden brown in vegetable oil.
Broth or you can bring plain water to a boil, add frying and thyme, cook for 5 minutes.
Add dumplings to the pan, season to taste. Cook the dumplings until cooked.
Season the soup with herbs and can be served.
